This seminar will explain the structure of the SEC, key statutory provisions, and the SEC’s subject matter jurisdiction. It will also provide insight into the investigative process by the SEC, as well as common enforcement actions and remedies, including practical advice concerning what companies may expect – and how to react – when the SEC “comes calling.”

Eric I. Bustillo currently serves as Director of the Miami Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and is responsible for leading the functions of the Miami Regional Office, including the supervision of the office’s Enforcement and Examination programs, which jurisdiction covers the States of Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
